Welcome to Positve Discounts and thanks for taking the time to check us out. This is the first classified Ads style site that is dedicated exclusively to small business or individuals who wants to buy and sell their own product or unwanted gifts. We’re just getting started and are focused on building up the community with new users every day. It’s our hope the this site will soon be THE best place to buy and sell all types of products online. We plan on using this Blog to keep you informed as to the latest developments with the site and the Classifieds Ads community.

The idea behind this website is to create a classified Ads style market place exclusively for small businesses. There are a bunch of  sites out there but they are all the same. They are a bunch of over-priced ecommerce sites. Therefore, is our intention to create a site that gives people an alternative to the over priced traditional sites.

When you create a listing, it’s in your best interest to provide as much detail about the item(s) that you are selling as possible. The more information you provide, the better the chance you have of selling it. Here are some of the things you’ll want to keep in mind when you create an Ad on CostumeClassifieds.com…

1. Title – make sure that the Title is clear and informative

2. Pricing – make sure that you ask for a Fair price for you item(s). If you price it too high you’ll have little chance of selling it. It’s also a good idea to include the OBO (or best offer) option. This will allow you to set a higher initial price and then listen to other offers as they come in. If your price is Firm, make sure to state that in your listing.

3. Item Description – clearly describe the item that you are selling. Provide as much detail about the item as you possible can. Be honest about the Condition the item is in and it’s entire history. The longer and more detailed your item description is, the better the chance that it will sell for a high price.

4. Payment Method – what is your preferred / acceptable payment method? PayPal and Escrow are the two most popular payment methods used on classified sites. However, it’s completely up to you as to how you want to accept payment. Make sure to clearly state in your listing how you’d like to be paid.

5. Shipping – will you ship the item or is it for Local Pickup only? Will you cover the cost of shipping or will you split the shipping cost with the buyer? What carrier will you use to ship the item? It’s important to be very clear about shipping / how you will deliver the item to the buyer.

Those are the basics of creating a listing. Again, the more information you can provide, the better price you will get for the item, it’s that simple. Thanks again for checking out Classifieds and we hope that you decide to Join this growing our community for Free today!

How to Create an Ad / Listing…

Here’s some advice on how to create effective listings that will get your sites sold fast. The most important thing to keep in mind when creating a site listing is to provide as much information as possible. The listing should provide a ton of very detailed information about the web property that you’re selling. Be sure to include information like the age of the site, the platform the site is built on, the PR of the site, how much traffic the site gets, monthly net profit and anything else you can think of that will help potential buyers. The more time and effort you put into creating a great listing, then better chance you have of getting the price you want for your website. It’s that simple.
Here are some of the basics that make up a great listing…

1. Title – the title should be informative and include the site URL. We do not recommend using allot of hype in the title.

2. Pricing – make sure to set a fair asking price for the item(s) you are selling. Setting too high of a price will make it much more difficult to sell. Also, it’s always a good idea to include “OBO” (or best offer) after the price. If you are willing to be somewhat flexible with your asking price you have a MUCH better chance of selling the item.

3. Site Description – It is so important to be as detailed as possible in your description! Be very honest about the site and provide as much information as you possibly can.

4. Transfer Process – will you take care of the site transfer or is the the buyer’s responsibility? Clearly state how the web assets will be transferred to the buyer.

5. Payment Method – what payment methods do you accept? PayPal and Escrow are the 2 most common payment methods. It’s up to you to clearly state in your listing how you preferred to get paid.
